#विश्व_स्तनपान_सप्ताह (1 से 7 अगस्त 2026) के अवसर पर माताओं, बहनों एवं परिवारजनों को शुभकामनाएँ दीं और स्तनपान को शिशु के स्वस्थ एवं सुरक्षित भविष्य की आधारशिला बताया। माँ का दूध शिशु के लिए प्रकृति का सबसे अनमोल उपहार है। यह उसका पहला, संपूर्ण एवं सर्वोत्तम आहार है, जो जन्म के साथ ही उसे स्वस्थ जीवन की मजबूत शुरुआत प्रदान करता है। प्रत्येक नवजात को जन्म के पहले एक घंटे के भीतर स्तनपान कराना तथा जन्म से छह माह तक केवल माँ का दूध देना उसके शारीरिक, मानसिक एवं बौद्धिक विकास के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
छह माह की आयु पूर्ण होने के बाद शिशु को घर का बना पौष्टिक पूरक आहार अवश्य प्रारंभ किया जाए, लेकिन कम से कम दो वर्ष तक स्तनपान जारी रखा जाए। इससे बच्चे की रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढ़ती है, संक्रमण का खतरा कम होता है तथा उसके समग्र विकास को मजबूती मिलती है।
स्तनपान केवल शिशु के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि माताओं के स्वास्थ्य के लिए भी अत्यंत लाभकारी है। यह माँ और शिशु के बीच स्नेह, विश्वास एवं भावनात्मक जुड़ाव को और अधिक मजबूत बनाता है। विभाग द्वारा प्रदेश के आंगनवाड़ी केन्द्रों के माध्यम से गर्भवती एवं धात्री महिलाओं को पोषण, स्तनपान एवं शिशु देखभाल संबंधी नियमित परामर्श एवं आवश्यक सेवाएँ उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं। सभी माताओं एवं परिवारों से अपील की कि वे अपने निकटतम आंगनवाड़ी केन्द्र से जुड़कर इन सेवाओं का अधिकतम लाभ उठाएँ।
