Really good presentation on being brain friendly #WGLL2
#WGLL2 @Michaelabooth7 - great presentation! Low health literacy is the ‘hidden risk factor’ - absolutely!!! Applies to physical and mental healthcare but also to engagement in prison offending behaviour interventions. Much work to be done in this area.

#WGLL2 Great presentation by Dr Alixe Lewis on evidence re ADHD, Autism and speech disorders in the CJS. Brilliant to hear support for formulation to explore behaviours being rooted in neurosensitivity.

Dr Alixe Lewis said we should just assume that all of those in prison are neurodiverse! Another great presentation #WGLL2
#wgll2 hi all i enjoyed the conforance so far
We are excited to be sharing our work at @NHSengland What Good Looks Like conference this afternoon. We will showcase our Invisible Me film, talk about our research on brain injury in prisons and suggest adaptations to practice. If you will be there come join our workshop #WGLL2

Listening and learning about the amazing work LD nurses are doing at HMP Parc with residents with LD,LDD and ND.
Not jealous of their provisions at all....wish this funding was available in HMPPS prisons to put these things in place 😩 #wgll2
#WGLL2 Interesting approach using social stories within probation from Andrew Bates and Jessica Sheard for those who have autism and have committed offences. Keen to hear more 👍👏
#mySLTday absolutely gripped to #WGLL2 conference about #neurodiversity in prisons. Saddened when listening to lived experiences but motivated to do so much more. Take away message so far - neurodivisity is not atypical in prison population it is typical. Thanks @huwwilliams19
Make sure you attend our workshop on ADHD in prisons #wgll2 at 11:30. ADHD is over-represented in prisoners. It’s proper diagnosis and treatment can reduce risks of reoffending.

Wonderfully insightful presentation from Stephen Ellis, #learningdisability advocate, reminding us why staff #training is so important to ensure people with LD do not end up in #segregation& #restraint instead of being supported @NHSengland @uservoiceorg @HmppsPsychology #WGLL2

#WGLL2 Eloquent and inspirational presentation by Stephen Ellis and Hugh Asher from @KRSelfAdvocacy on lived experience of neurodiversity in prisons. Early assessment prior to sentencing is absolutely key!!!
#WGLL2 - Supporting Neurodiversity in Prisons - what an insightful presentation of lived experience by Hugh Asher! The need for assessment & formulation of need is absolutely crucial to support individuals with LD and Neurodivergent needs.
Such a great speaker how do we book him for a conference #WGLL2
Hearing from a person with lived experience really drives a strong message. Amazing and humbling. There is a responsibility on all of us working in CJS services to make things better for people; particularly the most vulnerable. #WGLL2
