@SenatorCollins The #WidowsTax happened after the GOP rush to pass the #TaxScam, they forgot to continue the provision that exempted survivors benefits for the military. That is not the same thing as a survivor’s benefits “offset”. Will this bill address both issues?
@SenatorCollins This is really two separate problems presented as being one. The oldest was SSI survivors and health benefits for children. Those benefits can offset other compensation from the military or VA to the surviving spouse. The #WidowsTax the GOP caused in 2017, so two separate issues.
