@regratz87 @csforlcps I worked with a teacher in New York that told her students all the time that hitting a homerun every single time you step to the plate is not possible. Be the batter who gets on base and gives the team the best chance to score. #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 CS can be a part of your daily routine. It shouldn't be "just one more thing". Trust the process, piece together each and every positive moment, and witness the joy on students' faces as they learn about CS principles. #WeLoveCS

@MrsLeahAllan @csforlcps Student ownership is such a powerful thing. When they feel like they are in charge of their education, they are more willing to show you their true abilities. #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 Try one new thing and stick with it for a while. You don’t go onto a ball field hitting home runs, and you don’t begin CS integration that way either. You are going to strike out, but stick with it and you will find your home run. I promise! #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6: I would ask them what is the "why" as they understand it. If they get the why, the who, what, when, where, and how are easier to see with the help of an IFCS or other SME like their IFT or a colleague at their school. #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 Try...try and try again! Reach out to a teammate to plan. Ask for help...celebrate success and just enjoy watching the students learn through integration! #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 Fail forward (be willing to give it a try), be creative, seek support, and don’t be hard on yourself. Allow your students to do the heavy lifting. If you’re new to CS and computational thinking, learn the facts about how CS is so essential in todays job market #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 CS can feel very daunting if we don’t know the tech but honestly the kids catch on so quickly that we don’t need to know it! As teachers, we often desire control but CS is the perfect place to let the kids take over, explore, & truly own their learning. Go for it! #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6 It is OKAY to not know everything. You do not have to be an expert. You need to be willing to let the kids be the expert. Their lives revolve around technology, so why not let them use those skills to empower their education. #WeLoveCS
@csforlcps A6: Look at a current lesson and make a connection with one computational thinking strategy. You may be surprised to learn how much CS you are already integrating. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step. #WeLoveCS
