@fungooli @henneld_edu @WeVideo @Flipgrid @crbarnum Thanks so much for sharing, Mel! You're so correct — that "traditional" assessment was not really possible to fairly administer in a remote setting & it was cool to see more creative styles of assessing emerge (though also so much "testing software" to monitor...) #WeVideoQOW
@henneld_edu @WeVideo @Flipgrid @crbarnum @buddyxo i finally submitted mine to flipgrid #WeVideoQOW
but definitely doing "sit down" "exam style" assessments was the worst during remote learning. haha.
Let's keep the conversation going & continue to reflect on practices we adapted during remote learning that will stick! This week, we'll focus on assessment.

@Kbahri5 @henneld_edu @Flipgrid @donna_mccance @ThisIsAwesomeEd @ladeidiomas @LainieRowell @ChrisQuinn64 @ChristineBemis2 @perfinker @StaffPodcast @Pixton This is such a great idea! I've used Pixton a handful of times with other teachers but the class photo is totally new to me & loved some of the ideas you described. You def got me thinking!! #WeVideoQOW
@JakeMillerTech Feel free to hop into the Flipgrid at any point if you have time or if you just want to check out what other people are getting into. It's a slow chat so we won't move to Q2 until Friday. #WeVideoQOW
@buddyxo @henneld_edu @Flipgrid @WeVideo @crbarnum @nearpod @PearDeck @Zoom @justmoteHQ @PlayBlooket Yeah @WhiteboardChat has been my baby these past few months 🤩
I'm going to present on it for @EdChangeGlobal 😋 #wevideoqow
@henneld_edu @Flipgrid @donna_mccance @ThisIsAwesomeEd @Kbahri5 @ladeidiomas @LainieRowell @ChrisQuinn64 @ChristineBemis2 @perfinker @StaffPodcast Kellie — I love all the outcomes you highlighted using @Pixton. I need to look more into what you mentioned about the class portrait of all the comic strip characters you created. What a great idea to share that through a class newsletter, etc. Thanks for sharing! #WeVideoQOW
This past school year, I used @peardeck, @Flipgrid, @CanvasLMS, @GoogleForEdu, @Screencastify, and @WeVideo to amplify Ss voice and engage w/Ss in a variety of ways! So grateful for these tools. #WeVideoQOW
@henneld_edu @Flipgrid @WeVideo @crbarnum @Hedreich @padlet @Hedreich ... And the Jamboard hype is real but doesn't mean that you need it — I think carefully selecting a core set of tools that you'll integrate meaningfully & well is key. Thanks so much for sharing your voice on the #WeVideoQOW!
@henneld_edu @Flipgrid @WeVideo @crbarnum @Hedreich You know I'm 100% with you on the Flipgrid 💚 I appreciate how you've identified that Google Slides & @padlet meet your class needs. (Yes, a simple tool like Slides can be so powerful when used creatively.) #WeVideoQOW
@henneld_edu @JillDuBois22 @Flipgrid @donna_mccance @ThisIsAwesomeEd @Kbahri5 @ladeidiomas @LainieRowell @ChrisQuinn64 @ChristineBemis2 @perfinker @StaffPodcast Love that you highlighted @Flipgrid Mixtapes & getting families involved in the celebration of student work.
Also really appreciate how you're giving your young learners *choice* in how they respond on @Seesaw & encouraging their creative personalities to shine!

@hayes_melisa @Flipgrid @DHarrisEdS @WhiteboardChat @PicCollage @Pixton @GetKahoot @PlayBlooket Love it Melisa, and for those that do not know @hayes_melisa she did an amazing job of making the virtual fell like F2F for her students, Disco Ball and all!
#WeVideoQOW
@Buncee @henneld_edu @wakelet @PearDeck @Flipgrid @nearpod @gimkit @MicrosoftTeams @RemindHQ @discord I love when Ss come into class saying, “It’s been a rough day. (I don’t love the right day part) Can we create something with @Buncee?” 🙌That’s HS Ss asking for #Buncee. It’s not just for elementary Ss. #WeVideoQOW
