Day 12 of #WhyNCState: One of the perks of a large #R1 university, like NC State, is the breadth of courses offered! A few of my favorites were #soilscience courses that were not even part of my major. I spent a lot of quality time in Williams Hall w/ @CropAndSoil department.
Day 11 of my #WhyNCState: @NCState_BAE #seniordesign in streamlined monitoring of #bioretention cells. I learned about leading a team and working for a client (Hazen & Sawyer). Although there were a lot of rough patches, the experience made me be a much better #engineer.

Day 9 of my #WhyNCState: Raleigh! From many museums to state parks to the downtown scene, the City of Oaks is a fantastic part of the NC State experience. Students can always find something interesting to learn or do off of campus.
Day 8 of #WhyNCState: #ncstatealumni! The broad network of alumni has created countless opportunities for me. Plus, all alumni that I have met are always passionate about the past, present, and future #Wolfpack! So honored to join this group in a few short days.
Day 7 #WhyNCState: the commitment of @NCStateEngr to supporting #womeninengineering From ESCape camp prior to starting at NC State to my 2 years in the WISE Village to E 101 with Dr. Laura Bottomley, @NCStateEngr has always demonstrated that I have a place in #engineering.
Day 6 of my #WhyNCState: The @birgandwaterlab! 7 of my 8 semesters were spent in the lab. It has defined my time at NC State and changed the course of my career. I don’t know where I would be without Dr. Birgand and his team!

Belated Day 4 of my #WhyNCState: @NCState_BAE! Coming from a tiny high school, I loved the family culture that I found. The department's commitment to broader impacts gave me an outreach-driven perspective for my classes & research. 4 years in #WeaverLabs is not quite enough!
Day 5 of #WhyNCState: My new favorite part about my time at @NCState is that it has become a family legacy! Although today is my final #LDOC, the journey does not stop here! My brother will join #ncsu2022!

Day 3/20 #WhyNCState: Through @NCStateCALS Honors, I researched viability of rainwater harvesting in Sub-Saharan Africa & drinking water and sanitation issues in the developing world! I also researched w/ @birgandwaterlab through the program on #streamrestoration
Day 2/20 of my #WhyNCState: University Scholars Program! Scholars exposed me to visual & performing arts, science, & politics through its forum courses. I also spent a week in Costa Rica’s cloud forests and rainforests through its Outdoor Explorations program!
