We continued researching for our non-chronological reports this morning. We had to find facts to use in our own reports. Our reading skills really helped today. @StPPPrimary #welovereading #y2english #somethingfishy

We are really getting to understand how to put a non-chronological report together. Today, we learned some new words such as: classification and appearance. We are going to try and use them in our own reports later in the week. #weloveenglish #y2english

Today #Y2 looked at a range of non-fiction texts and identified the features. We located Contents pages, Headings, Sub-headings, fact boxes, diagrams and more! #nonfiction #nonchronreport #Y2English #Y2Writing

Here is the news! Today Y2RD were thinking about news reports in #y2english. We wrote a news report all together and then practised reading it out loud. We think @GranadaReports and @BBCNewsround might have some future stars!

In #y2english this morning we began reading James and The Giant Peach by Ronald Dahl. We read about two awful Aunties. We then worked with our partners to compare the two bad Aunties with our own lovely Aunties. We used some great adjectives phonics.

Today in #y2english we continued to think about the alphabet and put lots of our topic words in alphabetical order. It was tricky when we had ‘koala’ and ‘kangaroo...’ This is an activity your child can do at home with a collection of everyday objects.
