Los Angeles needs a Department of Homelessness: an interdisciplinary department that will have representatives from every existing department that touches homelesness: housing, parks, transportation, and so on. I will create this department on day 1.

The city cannot solve homelessness alone – we need help from the county to address this issue head-on.
As Mayor, I’ll appoint myself to LAHSA to form a collaborative partnership with the county, and to improve transparency and accountability.
