We are delighted to share that #NHATS/#NSOC affiliates Drs. #Danda, #Yusal, #Qin, #Kumar, #Sannareddy, #Hu, #Gonzalez, & #Murphey received a Certificate of #Best #Paper in the category of #Computational #Intelligence at the #IEEEorg #CCWC 2025 Conference recently held in Las Vegas! Their paper titled “Deep #Neural Network Ensembles for the #Detection of #Alzheimers Disease using Imbalanced #Clock #Drawing #Test Images” used NHATS data, and the research team’s findings have significant practical implications. From the abstract, “The successful development of #DLNN models for #CDT scoring suggests a promising avenue for automating the #coding process, reducing potential coding errors introduced by human coders. Among the DLNN models, #ViT stands out as a particularly effective choice for improving coding #accuracy and #consistency compared to manual coding. In fact, based on results of this study, NHATS Round 12 CDT-coding is largely completed by our developed CDT-coding system using ViT. 52.
