Here's good info to follow relative to the structures we are seeing on different assets and when you typically see expansion as a percentage of the structure apex.
Ascending Triangles: Historically resolve two-thirds to three-quarters of the way to the apex. #ZEC at 56%, #TOTAL3 at 83%.
Symmetrical Triangles: Academic studies suggest the breakout direction has a marginal edge in the direction of the prior trend (bull flags/bear flags), with the measured move target holding roughly 60% to 70% of the time when filters are respected. Expansion occurs at appx. 74% of the apex. #LTC at 81%, #XLM at 84%.
Falling Wedges: Price typically expands (breaks out) no earlier than 61% and 62% of the way to the apex. #ICP at 67%, #LTCBTC at 85%, #ALGO at 77%, #DASH at 60%.
General Compression: Approximately 75% of breakouts occur in the direction of the prevailing trend, often triggering within a few days of reaching the apex.
Late Breaks: Breakouts that occur very close to the apex (late apex breaks) tend to have lower reliability and may produce weaker follow-through compared to earlier resolutions.
What I find interesting here is that both privacy coins, Dash and Zcash, are close in their percentages of the apex in their current, respective structures, 56% and 60%.

There are always structures within structures and they are constantly changing. For #ZEC we have a symmetrical triangle within a rising parallel channel within a macro ascending triangle.
The macro structure is always dominant and the micro structures give an idea of movement within the macro structure.
Finding these structures helps you see trend lines where price will likely react from. When combined with fibonacci levels, where they cross creates confluence of support or resistance at those levels.
