Today our Board of Commissioners learned about the benefits of #ZeroFareKC from a Mid America Regional Council study on ridership during the pandemic.
The study showed there could be a $1.3 to 1.4 million increase to personal income if zero fare continues. Zero fare could increase ridership to 31 percent. An increase in ridership means a modest reduction in air pollution.
#ZeroFare has shown a positive impact on social equity.
