The administration of Gov @jidesanwoolu & Deputy @drobafemihamzat with the African Development Bank @AfDB_Nigeria has signed a GRANT partnership agreement with @followlasg @LSETF under #AFAWA to support 610 women-led businesses in Lagos.
Key Project Details:
1. Partners & Implementation: Implemented through the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF)with Somo Africa acting as the implementing partner.
2. Core Support Offered:
a. Seed grants provided by the AfDB
b. Structured training, mentoring, and business advisory services.
c. Financial management capacity building and digital tool adoption.
d. Market linkages and business networking to connect participants with new customers.
The Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) is a flagship pan-African initiative led by the African Development Bank Group @AfDB_Group designed to bridge the $42 billion to $49 billion financing gap facing women entrepreneurs across the continent.
