CCC today:
All the APP resources were already allocated. We needed a Neuro assessment for a patient. Luckily one of our APP team was working a pacesetter shift for their surgery, so we added an extra home visit for him! I love it when a plan comes together. #APPsInPrimaryCare

First day in my new surgery today, i’m lucky to have had a warm welcome by another lovely team. I look forward to the next few months working here #APPsinPrimaryCare
That said I am looking forward to starting at my next practice in the cluster in January, this time i’ll be based in Ruthin. Fingers crossed they are as lovely as the bunch at Middle Lane 🤞 #APPsinPrimaryCare
Final shift at Middle Lane GP surgery completed.
Very sad to be finished after a great 9 months.
Every member of staff there is so kind, caring & friendly - a great team who has really help me develop from a paramedic to an ACP. I really can’t thank them enough #APPsinPrimaryCare
Education day today with the focus on hypertension - a common occurrence in both primary care and pre-hospital care #APPsinPrimaryCare

@EMISHealth If you’re going to use terms like ambulanceman, can you also add ambulancewoman please? Or Ambulance Clinician? Ambulance staff? Anything!! As this was a lovely double female crew! #APPsinPrimaryCare
Primary care again today:
Whilst carrying out a telephone consultation with my pt an ambulance arrived. This meant I was able to collaborate with our brilliant UCS team and rather than an ED attendance, I referred the pt to our amazing CRT #Teamwork #APPsinPrimaryCare
Shift in the GP surgery today. I’ve got a free appointment slot so a great opportunity for a coffee and catch up on some pacesetter admin #APPsinPrimaryCare

One of the ways primary care has influenced my ambulance shifts is ICE. Every patient I now specifically ask their ideas, concerns and expectations. I’ve found addressing these can reassure and educate patients resulting in an overall happier patient #APPsinPrimaryCare
Today is my first shift in a run of 5. It’s a 0900-2100 working out of Dobbs Hill covering N.East Wales, but, depending on demand, I could go anywhere! I have another 9-2100, an education morning and two primary care shifts to go!
