Potter Lake, a cozy, Black mini-metropolis set in middle Georgia. After the collapse of the local economy, Potter Lake has shown resilience and a boom of growth, not only in residents but in sweet, small- town romances.

ELYSIUM is in the capable hands of an editor. I'm waiting on the second pass to come through so I can make edits and prep the book for release. Really trying to give my brain a break before I start the next book in Sept.

I love, love, LOVE audio. If I can get it in audio, I do. If not, eBook. I never read print. I can't concentrate and it takes almost twice as long to read a print book. I buy print to have them signed and stick them on my bookshelf.

Editing by a MILE. Drafting, for me, is like pulling teeth. Editing is more fun to me, though it can be TEDIOUS. I like the effort of revising and polishing.

I definitely take time off. It's impossible for my brain to jump from one project to another. I want to shorten the time I need between books by planning and prepping, but the brain brains when it wants to brain!

I am an overwriter. I would rather cut than add but I am not against fleshing out something I just skirted over. I'm always in constant review, so it's rare that I go back after editing to add an entire chapter or story arc.

Yep. My reading habits do not change while I am writing. The only difference is that when I am writing romance I read romance. Otherwise I read whatever sounds good.

It's a hot mess but as long as I get to done, it works. I get an idea and flesh it out. I write until I hit a wall and put it away. Seed. Planted. That book will now bug the crap out of me as I think about it for weeks, months, years.

I am between books at the moment. Book 12 is in editing and Book 13 is in pre-writing planning. That's all I got!

No, tho I know we are supposed to. I HAVE IT READ while I read along, but reading aloud makes me yawn, so I don't read them myself. I use VOICEDREAM or the text to speech function on my phone/kindle.

I usually do brown noise while I write. White noise is too sharp for my ears. Brown noise, pink noise... that's great for eliminating any distractions or room sounds. I set it for an hour or so and cook.
