At the Richmond KPU's Melville Centre y-day, was surprised (and pleased) to see CO2 PPM displays on the walls! 👏 Unfortunately the CO2 levels were very high @ low-med occupancy. This prompted me to open a 2nd door + a nearby window in the hallway. #bcco2 #covidco2 #covid19bc

I had to go into a medical office in @VCHhealthcare area for testing, & was pleasantly surprised how the co2 level was decent (no one wearing a mask except me & the tech). Then I was shocked by the horrible ventilation at #brekabakerycafe in the same building. Packed. #bcco2

Hey @daisocanada there seems to be atrocious ventilation inside your brand new store #SurreyBC. My #Aranet4 CO2 meter gets 1300s ppm in a nearly empty store, which means that your building ventilation is either off or malfunctioning. #bcco2 #covidco2 #CovidIsAirborne 1/3

For reference, something I typed up last year to explain to others the benefits of CO2 monitors in assessing COVID risk in spaces. Outside air is around 450ppm I’ve found in Vancouver. The lower the number, the better. #BCCO2 #COVIDCO2

To close this thread I'm happy to report that I got Vietnamese food at the end of my shortened trip #4 and that the place I went to, at least according to my #Aranet4, is still decently well ventilated even in winter :) #covid19bc #covidco2 #bcco2 10/10

I recently used my #Aranet4 to test exhaled air concentration (CO2) on TransLink's newest bus: the Nova LFSe+ on route 100. I was initially impressed. The bus HVAC can quickly exchange fresh air into a fully loaded bus… But, ONLY when it is on. 1/8 #covid19bc #covidco2 #bcco2

This is extremely unacceptable @LifeLabs. It would be very ironic that people catch COVID from a medical facility. This is why I always dread having to get my regular blood tests done as your locations are consistently reporting poor ventilation. Please fix this! #BCCOVID #BCCO2

I regret coming back from southeast Asia already. At this rate I don't think I'll make it to my next trip... every ride is a chance at infection... #bcco2 #covidco2 #covid19bc #CovidisAirborne #WearAMask #MandatoryMasksNow #MaskUp #MaskBC #MasksBackBC #FireBonnieHenry

Been to the movies lately at @LandmarkCinemas. The CO2 levels were decent (around 450-600) when the occupancy was around 30% in large theaters however it went up close to 800 in a smaller theater with 50+% occup. Few wearing a mask & most munching on snacks. #bcco2 #covidco2

Extremely impressed with @MassyBooks for maintaining required masking, having an Air Purifier in-store, having awesome staff & stocking the most amazing variety of books 🤩 fave local bookstore for a reason! #BCCO2

In case you haven't heard, @theRavenApp by @KashPrime has launched! Been trying my best to log locations in and around Metro Vancouver. Be sure to check it out and contribute some #covidCO2 readings wherever you are around the world 🗺️#BCCO2 https://t.co/r1oYDdmPjr

#Anirevo2022's main events hall (ballroom A) presented pretty good CO2 readings at full capacity during the convention idol festival, starting around 600 and leveling out in the mid 700s over a period of 2 hours. Similar results in the line outside. #bcco2 #covid19bc #Aranet4

😷 Vancouver Convention Centre, @AnimeRevCanada 2022 main hall. One of the few events that has set mandatory masks as the rule, although in practice, around half of attendees are following. My #Aranet4 picking up 900s ppm which isn't terrible given high occupancy. #WearAMask

Good morning #Anirevo2022! Looks like the main events hall line up area has remained in the 600s ppm despite very high occupancy. This might be the most well ventilated area of the convention centre 👀 #bcco2 #covidco2 #covid19bc #WearAMask

As I leave the area, my final (and single worst) CO2 reading of the day is the Waterfront Ctr Food Court inside which I found a number of #Anirevo2022 attendees. Y'all need to reconsider eating in here as poor ventilation means COVID will likely spread here 🤧 #bcco2 #WearAMask

More interesting ventilation test results at #Anirevo2022. My #Aranet4 hit a peak reading in the 1100s walking right thru the crowded hall. But upon reaching the empty space at the end, dropped into 600s, even when standing near the crowd. Effect of occupancy is clear. #bcco2
