For the 1st time in 7 months, since the March #bankcrisis, the #US #Treasury sold 2Y Notes at lower yield than the previous month. The #bidtocover was less impressive at 2.636, it was down from 2.738 last month, the lowest since March.

The internals were decidedly better with Indirects taking down 72.9%, the highest since February and well above the six-auction average of 69.4%; and with Directs awarded 15.2%, the lowest since July 2022, #Dealers were left with 11.9%, just above the recent average of 10.2%.

The #bidtocover was ugly, coming at 2.349, the lowest since February. and well below the six-auction average of 2.44%.

The high #yield of 4.740% was another cycle high, up from 4.660% last month and the highest since February 2007. The #bidtocover was also ugly, sliding to 2.562 from 2.751 in September, the lowest print since February and well below the six-auction average of 2.792.

Next week will see a @US 10-Year and 30-Year #bond #auction. With rising #supply at the long end of the #US #Treasury Yield #curve, investors should expect lower #bidtocover ratios.

After one subpar 3Y #auction, and one average 10Y auction, the 30Y auction was like the #CPI, mixed, with a solid #bidtocover, offset by a modest tail, a big drop in indirect demand, and the highest yield in over 12 years.

After a subpar 3-Year #auction, the 10-Year #auction was stronger but still not spectacular as the #bid to cover of 2.52 was down from 2.56 previous 10-year auction. Foreign buyers were awarded 66.3%, (the lowest since June), and just above the recent #average of 65.8.
