America is having a national debate over a $20 burrito. And somehow half of Washington still doesn't understand the burrito isn't the point. It's the $20 burrito. The $8 coffee. The $2,500 apartment. The $900 car payment. The insurance bill that looks like a second mortgage. The starter home that requires two six-figure incomes. People are watching the basic rewards of working hard slowly move out of reach. And when they complain, millionaires in Washington tell them to cook at home. People aren't asking the government to buy their burrito. They're asking why everything in America suddenly feels priced for someone richer than them.

Sure you can save money by living off hot pockets and microwaved ramen cups, but you will probably end up paying for it ten-fold later on when your diet of fake "foods" causes serious health problems. The affordability issue is a real one. Denying it won't make it go away. Both parties need to work to rein in the over-spending that causes inflation and stop allowing mass migration to undercut American wages. Simple as.
