Loving the idea of having students create living Google Slides that act as bulletin boards about things they're interested, important things happening in their lives, what they want their peers to know about them, etc. Shoutout to the friends in #BrewEDU for all the ideas.

100% an experiment, but I am walking away from the first #BrewEDU virtual meet-up absolutely re-energized and excited about teaching. Thanks to all who came and helped me grow and think outside my own lens today.
This definitely won't be the only one.

This is the best idea ever @Mr_Rablin with #BrewEDU. Loved reflecting on how students’ identities are tied to grades and the impact for all students! Also, great to connect with educators around the nation (and Canada) about all the shifts in grading that are happening now!
During #BrewEDU, I'm really being stretched to think about how grades form identities for our students. When we shift away from grades, we need to name that we are taking away something that students use to understand who they are.
How are we supporting them in that shift?
Such a difficult challenge to break away from student connection to their grade in the course. So many layers to face from students, to parents, teachers and more...and how this affects students at both ends of the grading spectrum. #BrewEDU
