🏆 This is a crazy hot take, but I think Fortnite is having a bit of an identity crisis right now. Hear me out. ➡️ They updated the game with too much new content all at the same time. It doesn't even feel like players are loading into the game just to play Fortnite anymore. We received a brand-new: - Battle Royale Island (C5S1) - Lego Game Mode - Rocket Racing Game Mode - Festival Game Mode - UI/UX Update - Movement Update - Weapon Mod Update - Healing Update - Quest Progression Update - Player Settings Update - Creative Map Takedowns and much more! ➡️ I could talk for hours about each of these categories and all of their faults in this latest update. However, to keep things simple, I'll leave it at this: Fortnite doesn't feel like Fortnite right now. ➡️ There, I said it. Every player that I've talked to in the community is either unhappy or overwhelmed with the amount of new content introduced within Fortnite this month. The map has more realistic textures, the gameplay feels similar to Call of Duty, cosmetics are more expensive and the fear of missing out propaganda for all of the new content is exhausting (physically, mentally and financially). ➡️ The current state of Fortnite won't change without voices being heard from the community, which is why I made this post.
