Finally got round to watching #C4Rape and #C4RapeDebate.
Incredibly powerful and we urge All Men to watch it to see the impact men have in women and girls lives, including not going out or turning down work.
As per the final message of the debate, don't rape women and girls.
#C4Rape Rape - Who’s on trial. Those girls in the hotel room. That man was a total predator and with the state they were in there was no true consent there. Feel so bad for them.
Watched #C4Rape and wish I hadn't. The attitudes of the police were appalling and that's when they knew they were being filmed. That's not even taking into account the wider societal issues that mean convictions are near impossible to secure.
I just watched the #C4Rape documentary with my husband by my side, holding my hand the entire way through. At the end of 2013, I was raped and had my case investigated by Avon and Somerset Police, the same force followed for this programme. It is my reason for doing the job I do.

#C4Rape so is it, boys will be boys so don't wear or send or drink this.... Or is it not all men? Because they directly contradict each other 🙄
What was missing from #C4Rape was pornographys influence. Physical and verbal assault, strangulation, crying may have been taken as signs in the past. Now they are common in pornography and so can be claimed as still consenting. Pornography sits on juries, in CPS and the police.
#C4Rape what was also forgotten was the important fact that sexual offences are serial and escalating offences. Men who murder have multiple sexual offences first. Not convicting them is enabling them to do just that. Multiple opportunities to prevent.
Last night's Channel 4 documentary 'Rape - Who's on Trial?' highlighted the intense scrutiny women face when reporting sexual crimes and the failings of the police and CPS. Our CEO @jayney_butler gives her thoughts.

Still reeling from #C4Rape last night. Absolutely sickening and scary to see the types of offences committed and the outcomes showed we fail to meet the needs of victims. Rape has been effectively decriminalised. Just 1.5% result in a conviction. That is just not good enough.

Watched the #c4rape doc last night. As a woman I feel totally let down by the justice system and by society. These women were targets of sex crimes and made to feel as though they did something wrong.
Far too many people do not understand the meaning of consent!

Who watched the C4 doc last night #c4rape? The extremely low stats on rape convictions were heartbreaking. Clearly a lot more needs to be done within the police, the government and within society itself.
Blame the perpetrators not the victims.
