I give #loaded answers, not questions. My lips impart unabashed truth, and do so without decoration. My eyes agree with my words, my actions are a sonnet of consistency. Love is fathomless when you trace it with poetic bluntness. Passionate honesty without the sugar.

I keep tender words
locked and #loaded,
finger nowhere near
the trigger.
I miss you.
Stay.
I need you.
Small calibre things
until they enter
the body.
But I hold my tongue
like a safety,
knowing exactly
what softness
can do
at close range.

My heart is a #loaded gun.
Safety off and never holstered, always ready in my hands.
My feelings twitchy trigger fingers.

Beneath language,
everything settled quietly.
Nothing announced itself,
just your mind meeting mine,
again and again,
making a home there.
I know you now in that #visceral way,
nearer than words can explain,
held somewhere beneath thought,
beyond the reach of naming.

Bc the world needs another poetry prompt:
It is #cfmverses and the rules for this week are simple. Write a poem with the word #visceral and use the hashtags.
If you write it, you’ll bring glory to the writing gods.🏆✨
Tepid in your affection
Lost in your sorrow
Little pangs of stolen guilt
#Ricochet off my sullen chest
But swallow, I must
The words that burn
The words that threaten
My mind's overturn.
Swallow, I must
To keep the trust
To bury the key
Of my heart's deceit.
