I think its interesting that many providers of data-driven platforms and services claim to place learners front and centre, e.g. 'personalising' or 'adaptive' software. Promotion of data in education often seems to be 'against the institution'? #cidedata

Good point here - 'speak for themselves' seem to imply that data are objectively accurate and truthful, and therefore don't require any questioning about how they were produced. That seems like a troubling thing to assume in education #cidedata
