Stop saying people who voted for Brandon Johnson deserve this. No one deserves this. No one deserves to be a helpless victim. Many people that voted for Brandon Johnson saw it as a vote towards optimism, and truly believe in what progressive politicians tell them. It’s easy to say things to get elected. Particularly the things that make people feel all warm and fuzzy. It’s hard to have a backbone and stand up for what you think is right. I stand up for our Chicago Police Department because I love this city and everyone in it - and I don’t want to see more innocent victims to violence. I don’t care who the victims are or what they voted for. I care that they are victims. So, stop saying “if you voted for so and so you deserve this.” You don’t.
