@geerlingguy @solid_run The #ClearFog and #Macchiatobin lineups are actually what drove the phylink work done by Russell King, which took years to fully mainline and is what added proper universal modular hotplug SFP/SFP+ to the mainline kernel.

#Linux 5.13.0-rc7-next-20210628, aka linux-next, now supports ACPI networking for #HoneyComb_LX2K and our Aarch64 #ClearFog lineup out of the box. Unfortunately it requires turning on smmu bypass, but hopefully the IORT RMR patches will land soon. Huge milestone. 🎉
5 years out from the original proposal #ACPI MDIO support has finally landed in the Linux net-next branch after over half a dozen previously failed attempts. This is a huge step forward for #SystemReady edge hardware. Enabling full networking for #ClearFog and #HoneyComb_LX2K
