We recently brought together experts and practitioners to assess #Myanmar's evolving political crisis, the resilience of ethnic resistance movements, the shifting geopolitics in the region and its impact on India.

At our recent #ClosedDoorRoundtable on “The Indo-Pacific 2.0 and the Churn in East Asian Geopolitics,” distinguished experts and policymakers discussed the evolving strategic landscape of East Asia and its implications for India.
Our honoured guest, @aparnaray_ifs, highlighted five key themes shaping current policymaking: power transitions, economic resilience, maritime security, normative order, and domestic linkages. She also emphasised the importance of building positive narratives that strengthen trust in India among strategic partners.
The discussion examined how historical tensions between #China, #Japan, and #Korea continue to shape regional geopolitics, including developments around #Taiwan, the Senkaku Islands, North Korea, Japan’s re-militarisation, and the broader implications of a changing US role in #EastAsia. Insights were shared by @Sri_Kondapalli, @JayadevaRanade, @Dhruv_CK, @chintamani36, and other experts.
The #CRFRoundtable also underscored the need for India to build strategic leverage through technological capacity, cyber resilience, maritime preparedness, and flexible minilateral partnerships to effectively realise the #IndoPacific 2.0 vision.

Today, we organised a #ClosedDoorRoundtable on “Carbon Tax in India: Measurement and Policy Design,” bringing together leading experts to examine how #India can develop a coherent and future-ready carbon pricing framework in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Grounded in #CarbonTaxation as a market-based tool to internalise negative externalities and environmental costs, the discussion focused on how India’s existing mix of implicit #Taxes, trade pressures, and climate commitments can evolve into a more structured and strategic policy approach.
