A3: I want to critically weigh terms of service: boiler-plate-lawyer-speak - w/ the agency that โsaidโ technology affords youth. One aspect should not trump the other. Itโs a discussion that needs critical understanding and contemplation. #CodedBiasChat

e.g. picking places to eat from google maps - I, like others, tend to avoid places that have few reviews which unfortunately often correlates with small immigrant-owned businesses

@MaryBourassa I think that some of this tech is helpful. (I appreciated being able to surveil my kids when they were infants, mostly to know if I should get out of bed.) However, some feed into parental anxiety and decrease trust. I wonder if this tech is more harmful. #codedbiaschat

I've seen some extremely sensitive and vulnerable posts in groups with 1500+ members, on sites with questionable privacy records/policies. #CodedBiasChat
A3: I'm actually thinking about how the standardization of testing reduces the humanity in teaching, changing students to data points. Production and consumption have led to a decrease in allowing for human connection. How can we humanize our ed spaces? #codedbiaschat
