There are Christmas (coin) Trees!

Happy Halloween from #CoinOfNote! Here's a trick or treat piece - a nice Halloween witch on a broomstick, and a great US seal on a coin with about as much gold as a chocolate coin (I haven't tried biting into this one - probably best I don't). #TokenTuesday #Halloween

When the people speak on #FanFriday we listen! For our fans looking for "tiniest toner" we think we may have found it. With a diameter of just 10 mm the 1904 Panama 2 1/2 Centesimos, aka the #Panama Pill, holds an unexpected distinction as the smallest coin struck by the US Mint.

@BroncoRacing043 @GeoffWallDavis I agree with @FavoriteCoins, although a common coin, it was issued at a very interesting time for Germany, both numismatically (I have pages of Notgeld issued at the same time), and generally. Thanks! #CoinOfNote #SaturdayNightCoinShow
Fellow numismatists, I want to share with you the generosity of my dear friend from @CoinOfNote for sending me an absolutely fantastic gift of various coins from the collection. Please check the page out and give #CoinOfNote a follow!
Our intrepid #coinOfNote reporter is in Indonesia this week. In preparing for the trip, here are two different 100,000 Rupiah notes.

Next up, from Emperor Zhenzong, third emperor of the Song dynasty. This #CoinOfNote was cast almost exactly 1,000 years ago: between 1017 and 1021

This week, for #SaturdayNightCoinShow, I've been going through some Northern Song Dynasty 1 cash coins from China (A.D. 960 - 1126). Here is a #CoinOfNote from Emperor Yingzong of Song, dated 1064 - 1067

For everyone wondering, (ok, just me), all those #SaturdayNightCoinShow Yugoslavian coins I had (74), worked out to be 33 KMs (+ the worn die 1965 10 Para, thanks @AskAboutCoins1), across 22 years in 54 unique year / km combinations. Face value 529 Dinara and 35 Para

Looks like my #SaturdayNightCoinShow next week will be brought to you by Yugoslavia. Just started looking through a bag of coins and found no less than 28 different types! Looks like that's my week's cataloguing in front of me!

Finally tonight, I'm claiming this as a variation (but, do please correct me), these are both 10 para coins from 1965 Yugoslavia. It's hard to get a good photo, but the 6 in the year of the bottom coin is joined to the 5. What do you think, #SaturdayNightCoinShow & #CoinOfNote?

Coming forward, past the breakup, to the newer federal republic of Yugoslavia, this 2 dinara from 2002 features Gračanica Monastery in Kosovo. Built by King Stefan Milutin in 1321 on the ruins of a 6th-century basilica.

The obverse was mostly unchanged from Yugoslavia's formation in 1945, after WW2, to the breakup in 1992. In 1965 the name changed from Democratic Federal Yugoslavia (DFR) to Socialist Federal Republic. Here is a 100 dinar of 1988
#SaturdayNightCoinShow, #CoinOfNote

One of my favourite little series of Yugoslavian coins is this, from 1955, featuringa woman with corn (10 dinar), a man & a cog (20 dinar) & the pair of them (50 dinar). Does anyone know more?
#SaturdayNightCoinShow, #CoinOfNote

Welcome to #SaturdayNightCoinShow, today, for me at least, from the former Yugoslavia, which today is part of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia & Slovenia. The wide range of fonts & metals used is striking. Here is a 1975 5 para #CoinOfNote

King Sigismund III Vasa was born on this day in 1566. King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1587 until his death in 1632 and as King of Sweden from 1592 to 1599. So, today's #CoinOfNote is a 1624 Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth 1 Półtorak (HT to @OnThisDaycom)

Following up from my #SaturdayNightCoinShow question about overlapping text on coins, here are two more #coinOfNote coins from Czechoslovakia: 20 & 50 Haléřů have you found any coins with overlapping text lately? Share yours and let's see who has the most!

Heading east & forward 100 years; the denomination on Czechoslovakian coins of the 1970's - 90's overlapped itself. This #CoinOfNote 10 Haléřů is from 1982. So a #SaturdayNightCoinShow challenge: What other coins can you come up with which have overlapping text?
