Coldblast continues in north #Punjab as #Amritsar recorded 8.1°c maximum temperature today (-9.5° below normal). This is the 5th lowest maximum temperature ever recorded.

#Amritsar reported another day with single digit max temperature at 8.8°c. It is colder than #Srinagar (11.9°c) and #Pahalgam (9.6°c). In the last 48 hours temp has not crossed the mark of 9°c. Prevailing #Fog conditions are restricting rise in temperature.
At 8:30pm on 11th Jan it is reporting 3.2°c, high chance of reaching freezing point by tomorrow morning 🥶

We see countless shots of the Golden Temple, but I wanted something different. This morning at 6 AM, I got that chance. With temperatures at 2°C, the freezing air, and the soft winter morning mist, I think i captured the perfect shot.

These cities were colder in day time compared to #Srinagar (10.9°c), #Manali (12.4°c), #Shimla (14.4°c). Prevailing #Fog conditions led to this. Overnight #Fog will expand into entire #Punjab #Haryana #Delhi NCR, NW #Rajasthan and #UttarPradesh.
Sunday is likely to be colder in most states compared to today.
