Work well under way on the Indian Roller taxidermy specimen. Old glass eyes removed and swapped for the correct brown eyes and then I added an eye ring made from Japanese Gampi tissue and PVAC, painted orange. Big improvement and scientifically accurate 😀 #conservationplacement
This Indian Roller landed on my bench today, in need of some TLC. Previously attacked by Carpet Beetle larvae, many of the feathers have been shredded, beak munched and covered in general detritus. I also noticed that the eye colour is wrong #conservationplacement #letthefunbegin
