It's actually not reasonable at all to continue a system where this keeps happening over and over.
It's actually completely unreasonable for drivers to feel entitled to this status quo.
For a roadway to be safe for pedestrians, driver speed must be managed starting with #ContextDriven *speed limits*. Tweaking a single intersection on a 3 mile high injury corridor doesn't make the roadway safe. Narrow & reallocate lanes, mark & signal bus stop crosswalks.
