Did you know that the classification by Djindjian and Merland, published in 1978, was the first #systematic attempt to categorize #DAVFs based on venous drainage patterns? Its main contribution was the pioneering recognition that the clinical risk of a DAVF — particularly the risk of hemorrhage or neurological deficits — depends on its venous drainage pattern. This concept became the cornerstone of all modern classifications.
