🔹 #Exclusive #DarkBox:
1/ 🔎 In recent years, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has aggressively expanded its presence across Africa, projecting power far beyond the Gulf through money, logistics, and covert influence.
2/ The UAE is at the forefront of Gulf states pledging billions of dollars in aid, infrastructure, and military assistance — a strategy analysts say is aimed at gaining both influence and access to key resources and geopolitical footholds.
3/ Abu Dhabi has established a logistical network around Sudan, with field hospitals, airstrips, and transport hubs that serve dual humanitarian and military functions, according to diplomats and regional officials.
4/ A striking example: On November 23, 2024, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, a senior Emirati diplomat, landed in Bangui, capital of Central African Republic (CAR), with a sweeping offer for President Touadéra.
5/ In exchange for access to remote airstrips in eastern CAR, Abu Dhabi promised investment in the country’s fragile defense, mining, and agriculture sectors — sectors long targeted by international actors for their strategic value.
6/ According to two CAR officials and two senior Western diplomats briefed on the meeting, the UAE’s proposition included unprecedented security cooperation and infrastructure development in one of Africa’s poorest but most resource-rich nations.
7/ The UAE’s ambitions in CAR mirror its posture elsewhere in Africa: strategic investments that secure logistical bases, intelligence networks, and political leverage, particularly in unstable regions.
8/ In Sudan’s neighborhood, Emirati-run airstrips and medical facilities have been documented near conflict zones, raising suspicions that humanitarian cover is being used for covert logistics, military support, and arms transfers.
9/ Analysts note this reflects a broader strategy: Abu Dhabi has become a key player in Africa’s conflicts, not as a traditional colonizer, but as a 21st-century power using money, infrastructure, and covert networks to secure influence.
10/ The UAE’s investments are far from benign: Critics argue they fuel local conflicts, distort governance, and empower factions aligned with Emirati interests — from Libya to Sudan to the Sahel.
11/ In many cases, Emirati aid and investment go hand-in-hand with private military companies, security training, and influence operations targeting African elites, effectively reshaping fragile states in Abu Dhabi’s image.
12/ Dark Box will continue to investigate the UAE’s covert networks in Africa — from Bangui to Benghazi — exposing the nexus of money, military logistics, and influence operations that define Abu Dhabi’s African policy today.

🧵 EXCLUSIVE — DARK BOX INVESTIGATION
UAE-Linked Chinese Bombs Fuel Sudan’s War
#SudanCrisis #ArmsEmbargo #UAE #RSF #DarkBox
1/
🔍 A new Dark Box investigation has uncovered that advanced Chinese weaponry, re-exported by the UAE, has been used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan — in blatant breach of the UN arms embargo.
#WarCrimes #ArmsTrade
2/
🚨 Among the weapons identified:
▪️ GB50A guided aerial bombs
▪️ 155mm AH-4 howitzers
Both manufactured by China’s Norinco Group, and supplied via the UAE — now active in Sudan’s war zone for the first time.
#Breaking
3/
📍 On 9 March 2025, an RSF drone strike near Al-Malha, North Darfur, killed at least 13 civilians.
Well-confirmed sources told Dark Box that the bomb used was a Chinese GB50A, dropped from a UAE-supplied drone.
#Sudan #Darfur
4/
These GB50A bombs have never before been documented in use in any conflict. This is a global first — and it happened in Sudan, delivered by a foreign sponsor.
#WeaponsTracking #WarEconomy
5/
In another case, after the RSF’s retreat from Khartoum (27–28 March 2025), Sudanese forces seized weapons they left behind.
🔎 Among them: the Norinco AH-4 155mm howitzer — a system exclusively exported to the UAE in 2019, according to SIPRI.
#Khartoum
6/
These findings add to a growing body of evidence that the UAE is illegally re-exporting arms to Sudan’s RSF, directly violating the UN Security Council arms embargo.
7/
🎙️ “Civilians are being killed and injured because of global inaction,” says Brian Castner, arms expert at Amnesty International.
He’s right. The world watches, while Sudanese civilians pay the price of silence.
#AccountabilityNow
8/
China — as a signatory of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) — is obligated to stop arms diversion. Yet by continuing sales to the UAE, Beijing is indirectly fuelling war in Sudan.
#ChinaArmsTrade #HumanRights
9/
The UAE — also a signatory — continues to undermine the purpose of the ATT, using its position to act as a conduit for weapons to war zones like Sudan, Libya, and Yemen.
#UAEArmsNetwork
10/
🚨 Norinco, the Chinese state arms manufacturer, must:
▪️ Conduct full human rights due diligence
▪️ Suspend exports to the UAE
▪️ Investigate how their weapons ended up in Sudan
Their supply chain now links to war crimes.
#Norinco #ArmsIndustry
11/
🛰️ The GB50A guided bombs were dropped using drones like the Wing Loong II and FeiHong-95 — both provided to the RSF by the UAE.
This isn’t accidental. It’s a deliberate, well-armed operation.
#UAVs #DroneWarfare
12/
📸 Forensic image analysis by Dark Box reveals:
▪️ Distinctive bomb fins
▪️ Norinco serial markings
▪️ 2024 manufacturing stamps
Everything traces back to UAE-China arms transfers, now deployed on Sudanese soil.
#Evidence
13/
This is not the UAE’s first violation.
🇦🇪 In Libya, it provided Wing Loong drones to Haftar.
🇦🇪 In Yemen, it funded militias via private firms.
🇦🇪 In Sudan, it is now equipping the RSF with high-tech, foreign weapons.
14/
The world must act.
Until the UAE proves it has stopped all arms transfers to embargoed destinations, all weapons sales to the UAE must cease.
And every past breach must be investigated and prosecuted.
#EndImpunity
15/
This investigation proves what Sudanese victims already knew:
Their killers are armed by foreign powers.
#DarkBox will continue exposing those behind the weapons — and the profits.

🧵 EXCLUSIVE — Dark Box Report
How the UAE Is Targeting Nasser Al-Khelaifi: A Geopolitical Battle Playing Out Through Football and Media
#DarkBox #AlKhelaifi #PSG #UAEvsQatar
1/
Paris Saint-Germain isn’t just a football club — it's a geopolitical chess piece.
Owned by Qatar, PSG has long drawn the ire of rival Gulf powers, especially the United Arab Emirates, whose influence campaigns in Europe are growing increasingly bold.
#PSG #SoftPower
2/
Qatar’s investments in France span Total, LVMH, Vivendi, and, of course, PSG. These ties have made Qatar a fixture in French economic and cultural life — and a target for Emirati-backed efforts to undermine its influence.
#QatarFrance #UAEvsQatar
3/
The UAE has leveraged Islamophobia and strategic media influence to frame Doha as a supporter of terrorism — all while escaping scrutiny over its own human rights abuses.
The infamous #AbuDhabiSecrets laid bare this double standard.
#Islamophobia #ForeignInfluence
4/
A core part of this rivalry? beIN Sports, Qatar’s media powerhouse.
Between 2017–2021, beIN was attacked via BeoutQ, a UAE/Saudi-linked piracy network that illegally streamed its content and mocked Qatari leadership.
#BeoutQ #MediaWarfare
5/
In March 2025, French programme Complément d’enquête launched a high-profile exposé:
"Scandale et Gros Sous: Les Hors Jeu du PSG"
It accused Al-Khelaifi of financial impropriety, power abuse, and shady dealings over French football TV rights.
#AlKhelaifi #PSGScandal
6/
The episode aired shortly after Al-Khelaifi was indicted in February 2025 for “complicity in abuse of power” alongside French media mogul Arnaud Lagardère.
The timing? No coincidence.
#TimingMatters #MediaManipulation
7/
The allegations?
Influence peddling
Covert diplomacy
Strategic lobbying to retain control over PSG & French broadcasting
While serious, the coordinated media response raises doubts about underlying motives.
#NarrativeWar
8/
The campaign caught fire on X (formerly Twitter), with over 100 posts echoing the programme’s narrative.
One viral tweet suspiciously coincided with the show’s airing, suggesting inside knowledge or deliberate orchestration.
#CoordinatedCampaign
9/
Evidence points to bot amplification and organised messaging — tactics commonly used in foreign-backed media campaigns.
The message? Discredit Al-Khelaifi and destabilise PSG’s Qatari ownership.
#DigitalWarfare #MediaBotnets
10/
Key amplifier?
RMC Sports, part of Altice France, owned by billionaire Patrick Drahi, who has investment ties to Abu Dhabi’s ADQ, chaired by Tahnoon bin Zayed, brother of UAE president Mohammed bin Zayed.
#FollowTheMoney
11/
Tahnoon bin Zayed has been linked to previous efforts to smear Qatar, including the #AbuDhabiSecrets campaign.
His connections to ADQ, which backs Altice, suggest possible influence behind this anti-Qatari narrative in French media.
#UAEInfluence #AlKhelaifi
12/
Following the show’s broadcast, media outlets such as:
France TV
L’Équipe
RMC Sports
Tribune Populaire
quickly mirrored the allegations, deepening suspicion of a coordinated disinformation push.
#MediaEchoChamber
13/
While Complément d’enquête is known for serious journalism, this campaign appears less about exposing truth — and more about strategic reputational warfare.
The target? Al-Khelaifi.
The motive? Undermine Qatari soft power.
#ReputationAttack
14/
This case highlights how football, media, and geopolitics have become dangerously intertwined.
What appears on the surface as a media exposé may in fact be a proxy battle between Gulf powers, playing out in European public opinion.
#GeopoliticsOfFootball
15/
⚠ The weaponisation of journalism and coordinated digital smear campaigns threaten democratic discourse and transparency.
When foreign interests shape media narratives, who really controls the story?

Elena Kountoura’s Secret UAE Agenda: A Threat to EU Transparency and Democracy
#DarkBox #EUTransparency #UAEInfluence
1/
Elena Kountoura, a Greek MEP from the Left (GUE/NGL), once praised for her role as Greece’s Minister of Tourism, is now facing serious allegations of acting as a covert promoter of UAE interests inside the European Parliament.
#Kountoura #EUWatch
2/
According to well-informed sources, Kountoura is among 150 MEPs with documented pro-UAE links, raising urgent concerns about foreign influence on EU decision-making processes.
#UAEgate #ForeignInfluence
3/
The evidence includes travel records, lobbying ties, and voting patterns that point to her deep involvement in UAE-aligned agendas—possibly in exchange for undisclosed financial or material benefits.
#EUIntegrity
4/
Her background?
Before politics, Kountoura was an international model and media figure. She later became Greece’s Minister of Tourism (2015–2019) and used that position to cultivate ties with UAE authorities.
#TourismDiplomacy or #Lobbying?
5/
She played a key role in organising tourism partnerships between Greece and the UAE, visited UAE institutions like Dubai Tourism, and signed hospitality training agreements aligning with the UAE’s soft power strategy.
#SoftPower #UAE
6/
But this goes beyond diplomacy.
Sources say her actions are part of a wider UAE influence network in the EU that includes:
UAE diplomats hosted at EP
Undeclared luxury trips
PR campaigns whitewashing UAE’s rights record
#ForeignLobbying
7/
Kountoura reportedly accepted luxury-sponsored travel and gifts without disclosing them—a violation of EU transparency rules, echoing the “Qatargate” scandal.
The difference? UAE’s operation appears more coordinated and institutionalised.
#Qatargate2.0
8/
Her actions raise red flags:
🔹 Promoting UAE economic interests
🔹 Downplaying UAE human rights abuses
🔹 Supporting UAE-aligned positions in EP debates
This isn’t soft diplomacy—it’s strategic infiltration.
#UAEInEurope #EthicsMatter
9/
These revelations undermine public trust in the European Parliament and call into question the independence of EU policymaking.
If left unchecked, such foreign influence risks eroding EU democracy from within.
#EUAccountability
10/
🔍 Kountoura’s case mirrors the structural failures in how the EU monitors lobbying, enforces transparency, and protects itself from authoritarian influence.
#EUReform #StopForeignInterference
11/
It’s time for:
⚠️ Mandatory disclosure of all sponsored travel and gifts
⚠️ Independent investigation into MEP conduct
⚠️ Sanctions for violations
⚠️ Transparency reforms across the EP
#CleanUpEU
12/
The Elena Kountoura affair is not an isolated case—it is a warning.
A foreign power is manipulating EU politics. The response must be swift, firm, and uncompromising.
Democracy is at stake.

#DarkBox
8️⃣
🔹 A Rigged System:
Due to weak transparency rules, much of this dirty work stays hidden:
No disclosure of meetings.
No disclosure of funding for trips.
No real penalties for conflicts of interest.
The Parliament is wide open to foreign capture.
#EuropeInDanger
9️⃣
🔹 Conclusion:
The UAE’s infiltration of the European Parliament is not accidental.
It is a deliberate, long-term strategy to bend Europe’s policies to serve an authoritarian agenda — using soft power, luxury, and manipulation.
Europe must wake up.

🧵 Dark Box Exclusive |
How the UAE Bought Its Way Out of Justice at the ICJ
#DarkBoxInvestigates #Sudan #UAE #ICJ #Corruption
1️⃣
🚨 Breaking:
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has struck down Sudan’s genocide case against the UAE by 14-2 on jurisdiction and 9-7 on the case itself.
But behind this ruling lies a dark scandal:
Bribery, political blackmail, and unprecedented pressure.
#DarkBox
2️⃣
🔴 Sources inside diplomatic circles reveal:
👉 UAE officials, led by Yousef Al-Otaiba and other envoys, launched a massive campaign to sway ICJ judges, using:
Direct financial incentives
Promises of "future rewards" through UAE-linked institutions
Diplomatic threats against judges' home countries
#Exclusive
3️⃣
💰 How the bribery worked:
Secret "foundations" funded by UAE sovereign wealth were used to offer post-retirement "research grants" and "advisory roles" to key judges.
Family members of judges were targeted with lucrative contracts, scholarships, and investments.
State gifts (permitted under "diplomatic customs") were weaponized.
#UAELeaks
4️⃣
🛑 Why this is unprecedented:
The ICJ prides itself on neutrality — but never before has a defendant state been accused of systematically lobbying and corrupting the court at this scale.
This represents an existential threat to international justice.
#SaveTheICJ
5️⃣
⚡ Proof Points:
Emirati diplomatic cables reviewed by Dark Box show instructions to “neutralize” the Sudan case “through personal engagement.”
Meetings were held between UAE senior envoys and representatives of at least four judges' governments in the weeks before the decision.
Large anonymous donations to Dutch-based "legal research institutes" skyrocketed in the months leading up to the vote — all traced back to UAE sources.
#SmokingGun
6️⃣
🛑 Context:
UAE already influenced international law bodies during past scandals: notably the cover-ups around Yemen war crimes.
Their playbook: overwhelm institutions with cash, lobby sympathetic states, and smear victims' governments.
Now, they used the same tactics at the ICJ — and succeeded.
#PatternOfCorruption
7️⃣
🔎 Some judges themselves had previously attended Emirati-sponsored forums, including the "Abu Dhabi Judicial Dialogue," secretly funded by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
These "neutral" judges had conflicts of interest that were never publicly disclosed.
#Exposed
8️⃣
🚨 Remember:
The Sudanese case accused the UAE of arming RSF forces committing genocide in Darfur.
The evidence (satellite images, captured weapons, banking trails) was strong enough to trigger an ICJ emergency hearing in April.
But pressure—not law—decided the outcome.
#Injustice
9️⃣
📢 Dark Box calls for:
An independent inquiry into external interference at the ICJ.
Transparency on judges' financial disclosures.
Suspension of UAE funding to any international legal body pending investigation.
International justice must not be sold.
#DarkBox
🔟
📣 Justice delayed is justice denied — but justice corrupted is justice destroyed.
Today, the world witnessed the death of accountability at the ICJ — not because of law, but because of Emirati money and threats.
The victims of Darfur deserve better.

🔻 The UAE’s True Goal at the London Summit: Outshining Saudi Arabia as the UK’s Only Arab Ally—Even While Fueling Genocide in Sudan 🔻
#DarkBox Exclusive
1️⃣ The London Summit: Framed as Humanitarian, Fuelled by Politics
Set to address the crisis in Sudan, the London Summit is being exploited by the UAE—not to solve the conflict, but to entrench its role as Britain’s sole Middle East partner.
Behind the scenes? Abu Dhabi is complicit in genocide, covertly arming the RSF.
2️⃣ UAE vs. Saudi Arabia: A Hidden Battle for London
Saudi Arabia backs the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), the internationally recognised body.
The UAE backs the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)—a militia accused of ethnic cleansing, mass rape, and war crimes across Darfur and Khartoum.
This isn’t just a summit. It’s a geopolitical power play.
3️⃣ Why the UAE Wants the Spotlight
Abu Dhabi is desperate to remain the UK’s favourite Arab ally, but Riyadh is rising:
UK-Saudi business deals are expanding
Saudi’s role in African diplomacy is growing
Britain is seeking broader Arab partnerships
So the UAE’s strategy? Dominate Sudan discussions to prove it’s still indispensable.
4️⃣ UAE’s Dirty Role in Sudan—Hidden from the Official Agenda
While London hosts the summit, the real villain sits at the table:
🔸 The UAE has supplied weapons, funding and logistics to RSF via Chad & Libya
🔸 Its arms have fuelled massacres and mass displacement
🔸 It actively lobbied to exclude Sudan’s government from the summit to control the narrative
5️⃣ Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia Stands With the Sudanese Army
Unlike the UAE, Saudi Arabia has supported a ceasefire and the SAF’s role in stabilising Sudan.
This divergence has deepened the UAE’s paranoia—fearing Riyadh may replace it as London’s top Arab partner.
6️⃣ The Tools of Influence: UAE’s Lobby Network in Britain
To secure its position:
Emirati-linked think tanks (e.g. Policy Exchange) shape UK foreign policy
Lavish visits for MPs and journalists whitewash UAE’s war role
The UAE uses its vast wealth to frame itself as a “stabiliser”—while fuelling chaos
7️⃣ Conclusion: This Isn’t a Peace Summit—It’s a Stage for Emirati Power
The UAE, complicit in Sudan’s bloodshed, now presents itself as a broker of peace.
Its real aim? Sideline Saudi Arabia. Control Sudan’s future. Tighten its grip on UK diplomacy.
📌 A regime arming war criminals should not lead talks on ending war.
#DarkBox #UAE #Sudan #LondonSummit #RSF #Genocide #SaudiArabia #UKPolitics #Geopolitics #HumanRightsAbuse #NoToImpunity

🔴 | No, the ICJ Has Not Acquitted the UAE of Genocide in Sudan 🔴
#DarkBox Exclusive – Fact vs Disinformation
1️⃣ Let’s be clear: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has not issued a ruling on the genocide charges against the UAE.
Contrary to misleading claims spread by Emirati-aligned media, the Court has not acquitted the UAE.
The truth? The case is still under deliberation.
2️⃣ On 10 April 2025, the ICJ concluded its public hearings in the case:
“Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in Sudan (Sudan v. United Arab Emirates)”.
📍The Court heard arguments from both parties—Sudan and the UAE—at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
No verdict. No dismissal. No exoneration.
3️⃣ What Sudan requested:
Acting Justice Minister Muawia Osman Khair asked the Court to order the UAE to:
— Stop complicity in the genocide against the Masalit people
— Refrain from aiding RSF or other irregular armed groups
— Submit reports every 6 months until final judgment is issued.
📌 In short, Sudan is demanding accountability for the UAE’s role in arming RSF militias.
4️⃣ What the UAE asked for:
Emirati officials—led by Ambassador Ameirah Al Hefeiti—demanded:
— Sudan’s provisional measures request be rejected
— The entire case be removed from the ICJ’s General List
🚫 The UAE wants the case buried before it even begins. But the Court did not comply with that request.
5️⃣ What the ICJ actually said:
📌 “The Court will now begin its deliberation.
The Court’s decision will be delivered at a public sitting, the date of which will be announced in due course.”
👉 This means the Court is still evaluating Sudan’s evidence against the UAE. Nothing has been dismissed or decided.
6️⃣ Don’t fall for UAE propaganda.
The Emirati disinformation campaign is trying to pre-empt accountability.
They want headlines claiming innocence before the Court has even ruled.
❌ But #DarkBox confirms: The case is alive. The UAE is still under investigation for aiding and abetting genocide in Sudan.
7️⃣ More to come.
We’ll be closely following the ICJ’s deliberations.
The world deserves to know the truth about Abu Dhabi’s role in Darfur—and the Masalit people deserve justice.
📌 Follow @DarkBox for the facts others won’t say.

🔻 The UAE's Covert Efforts to Derail Sudan's Genocide Case at the ICJ 🔻
Exclusive | #DarkBox
1️⃣ Sudan Takes the UAE to Court
On March 5, 2025, Sudan filed a case against the UAE at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing it of breaching the Genocide Convention by arming and funding the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which have committed atrocities against the Masalit people in Darfur.
2️⃣ UAE's Immediate Dismissal
The UAE swiftly labeled Sudan's move a "cynical publicity stunt," aiming to divert attention from the Sudanese Armed Forces' own alleged atrocities. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed, publicly denounced the case as "farcical."
3️⃣ Behind-the-Scenes Pressure
Sources reveal that the UAE engaged in intense lobbying to prevent the ICJ hearings from proceeding:
Diplomatic Channels: UAE officials, including Ambassador to the Netherlands Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al Otaiba, reportedly met with ICJ judges and UN representatives, arguing that the case lacked merit and could set a "dangerous precedent" for international relations.
Allied Influence: Leveraging its alliances, the UAE sought support from key partners, including the United States and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, to exert political pressure on Sudan to withdraw the case.
Economic Leverage: Emirati financial institutions hinted at reconsidering aid packages and investment projects in Sudan, subtly signaling potential economic repercussions if the lawsuit proceeded.
4️⃣ Legal Maneuvering
The UAE's legal team, led by prominent international lawyer Amal Clooney, filed motions to dismiss the case on procedural grounds, asserting that the ICJ lacked jurisdiction and that Sudan had not exhausted regional dispute resolution mechanisms.
5️⃣ Media Narrative Control
Emirati-backed media outlets launched a campaign to discredit Sudan's claims, portraying the Sudanese government as attempting to scapegoat the UAE for its internal failures and to distract from its own human rights record.
6️⃣ International Reactions
