@drlesleybarron @haw95 @DoctorsBookClub Q4 #dbcmay Not clear how any healthcare system can afford new & expensive innovations such as gene therapy & biologics but significant waste with old Rx esp if wrong diagnosis or ineffective

@drlesleybarron @haw95 Q4 #dbcmay dare I say .... publicly funded healthcare free at the point of access like NHS ...There are still many health inequalities in 🇬🇧 from structural racism amongst other things but much fairer than 🇺🇸 system @DoctorsBookClub

Q2. #dbcmay "Informed consent is not a signed piece of paper but rather the fluid continuous process informs the subject in detail of what he or she proposes to do." Often we place too much value on a signature & not a continuous process in surgery also..how do we overcome this?
