For me, #DClinPsy and #DCounPsy have always been the means to get the license to practice, without much thought of their content. And that's probably why I have always had some doubts about them. (2)

@erin_b_robinson There is not enough discussion on it on the #Dcounpsy either! We do the same amount of work, have a minimum of client hours to achieve (450), personal therapy hours to have and do not get paid for placements. I am exhausted.

@DanielaZigova I am still hoping there may be no next year - Edinburgh on May 24th for #DClinPsy and a few #DCounPsy applications to be submitted over the weekend. I'm frustrated (40 y.o.) and disappointed that the course wasn't ready for an #autistic candidate (adjustments refused).

@DrKateTherapy Amen! 3 years of psychodynamic therapy before I allowed myself onto the conversion MSc in Psychology. Currently already 2 years of the same during my PWP training and the first assistant psychologist role. 5 more months to go... And hopefully onto #DClinPsy or #DCounPsy

@DrKateTherapy The process is absolutely demoralising and the institutional barriers to the profession are real. I may follow in your footsteps soon, completing 2 #DCounPsy applications at the moment, if there's no #DClinPsy for me this year, I refuse to participate in the toxic rat race again!

@elena_24877 I feel you so very much with that! I'm 40 and have no will or time for the sandpit play of the #dclinpsy anymore. It's this year or I'm opting for #DCounPsy instead.

That deserves to be announced here, I suppose. I've been invited to the interview for the #DCounPsy at @TeessideUni #psychology #doctorate
