Remarkable project. 164 affordable units without any upfront public subsidy on a 27K sq ft site zoned for about 9 units per LA zoning. This is the power of the AB 1763 (2019) amendment to state density bonus law per @DavidChiu (unlimited density and 3 extra stories near transit)

10– #AB2334 would expand the number of sites in our state that are available to qualify for #DensityBonuses — particularly in areas with low vehicle travel. This will help to create more much-needed affordable, higher-density housing in California.

I agree w/ @GavinNewsom that cities throughout #CA will need more than a one-size-fits all approach. Sen. @ilike_mike & I are working on #SB4 to provide #densitybonuses that support #affordablehousing development in different communities | #cabudget #caleg
