#devanikunta not many people are aware this large water body exists right close to Mehdipatnam,
@Comm_HYDRAA I request to please install a board and boundary so that the water body remains a water body and not a ground for open toilet and misuse
@GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC
#devanikunta footage today , this large water body needs a board & boundary to protect it from encroachments @revanth_anumula @GHMCOnline @Comm_HYDRAA @HMDA_Gov @TelanganaCMO @DC_Masabtank @LubnaSarwath @vinay_vangala
#devanikunta as of 19 Oct 2026. Finally, @Comm_HYDRAA has visited and cleaned the wild, and since there is no rain this year, the water body has shrunk in the middle like a puddle. Need a board & boundary to protect it from encroachments @revanth_anumula
I urge @HYDRAA to clear the wild overgrowth around #Devanikunta to expose the actual boundaries of the water body. Only then can we see how much of the lake has been encroached upon and take action to reclaim and protect it. @HMDA_Gov @SELakesGHMC
I urge @HYDRAA to clearly demarcate the entire boundary of #Devanikunta and install boards declaring it a government-protected water body. Make the lake’s boundaries visible to all so there is no ambiguity about its limits and no scope for encroachment. @HMDA_Gov
I urge @Comm_HYDRAA to Remove the blue tin, but secure the area against encroachment and misuse. With poor rains, protect every inch of this lake. #Devanikunta
@GHMCOnline @HMDA_Gov
As #Devanikunta is cleaned up, look at what emerges when wild trees are cut! I urge the authorities to clear the overgrowth, expose the lake’s full boundaries, and protect every inch of the waterbody.

@sselvan @savekapralake This is #devanikunta and a lonely fight for close to a decade.
The bund is where the houses are built,the water pulled out via machines, garbage dump & an open toilet
@HydPatels @vinay_vangala @waseemBaari @Comm_HYDRAA @PrlsecyMAUD @DRFHYDRAA @ZC_Khairatabad @HyderabadLakes @lakeshyderabad I visited 3 prajavanis,at GHMC,then personally met not one but 3 different zonal commissioners of Khairatabad,then Hydraa met Ranganathan Sir , and other officers at Buddha Bhavan.
People have started identifying me as Oh #Devanikunta .

#devanikunta crying for help for the past ten years & more. Encroached,misused, even every drop drained out yet ,it resiliently stood.

When will @Comm_HYDRAA @DRFHYDRAA @ZC_Khairatabad @GHMCOnline visit the evergrowing jungle around #devanikunta and the encroachment
@vinay_vangala .
We are unsafe from mosquitos,to illegal occupations
Anyone listening?
This is #devanikunta,the rainfall has restored the water .Can it be fenced ? and wild growth trimmed to avoid mosquito issues @ZC_Khairatabad @GHMCOnline @vinay_vangala @Comm_HYDRAA @PrlsecyMAUD
I am afraid very soon #devanikunta will meet the same fate. A god forsaken water body ,exploited and encroached @Comm_HYDRAA @vinay_vangala @PrlsecyMAUD
What happens when a park, a commercial complex, a metro station and the office of Hyderabad civic planning body are built on lakes? The lakes pay back a visit to say Hi! Notice Ameerpet and the lakes in initial images from 1980s.

What makes @Comm_HYDRAA not visit #Devanikunta Nala and the encroached water body exploited every day.
@vinay_vangala @revanth_anumula @
HYDRAA cleared large volumes of silt from Bulkapur Nala at Tolichowki, ensuring smooth water flow and preventing overflow onto nearby roads.

#Devanikunta is a lush green lung space, a pond struggling to retain its source. Right in the middle of Hyd can we at least fence area to let the pond be what it is and prevent encroachment

@serish This is in the middle of Hyderabad at Vijay Nagar colony, Mehdipatnam,I've made several requests for #humayunagarkunta on Google maps and #devanikunta ,yet no one does anything.
@Comm_HYDRAA The encroachment on #devanikunta right on the water body is still here since 2018. Can we not simply remove it,fence the kunta from all sides and let nature fill it ,which automatically creates a rain water harvesting pit. &water is not drained out by encroachers.
