Here is a poem for @BrokenSpineArts and @AlanParry83 on the theme of #innerwarmth. A cherished memory of a dear aunt whose favourite scent was DuBarry’s #DevonViolets. Even today, memories of her wearing that perfume fill me with a warm glow.

Despite the snow, wind and rain, my #devonviolets are flowering! We use the leaves as a botanical in #papillongin because it’s a food plant for the Pearl bordered fritillary, one of the butterflies we support. Such a cheery sight on a grey day. #violet #dartmoor #gin #botanical

Beautiful fragrant Devon violets ready to be planted on Dartmoor for use as one of our gin botanicals. The pearl bordered fritillaries like them too! #gin #Dartmoor #devonviolets @savebutterflies
