A crypto veteran once woke up to something every user fears.
His wallet had been drained.
No warning.
No support.
Just transactions he didn’t make.
This is the recovery plan he followed. 🧵

Most people in crypto think hacks happen to someone else.
Until one day, a very experienced user in the space shared a story.
Not about profit.
About the day he opened his wallet…
and realized it had already been emptied.

There’s a moment in crypto that humbles everyone.
You open your wallet…
and it’s $0.00.
No warning.
No support.
No undo.
If that ever happens to me, here’s exactly how I handle it. 🧵

If my crypto wallet gets hacked today, I already know exactly what I'll do in the first 10 minutes.
No panic.
Most people think about security after something goes wrong.
Here’s my recovery plan 🧵

A little painful.
A little funny.
But very real.
Because in crypto… the difference between a survivor and a victim is how fast you react. 🧵

A thread on panic, damage control, and how I’d bounce back if my crypto wallet was drained.
Because in crypto, it’s not if… it’s when you’re ready for it.

My Recovery Plan: What I Do If I Get Hacked Today
The first goal is not investigation.
The first goal is containment.
Assume the attacker still has access.
Move fast and cut them off from the original entry point.

crypto moves fast and so do attacks.
phishing links, wallet drains, fake mints.
I’ve seen experienced users lose funds in minutes.
so I keep a recovery plan ready.
If I get hacked today, here’s exactly what I do.

Lastly,
I enable two-factor authentication wherever possible.
I check approvals and connections regularly, not just after a hack.
It doesn’t make me invincible, but it makes me much harder to hit again.

Getting hacked in crypto is brutal.
But freezing in panic makes it worse.
That’s why I already have a plan.
Because when it happens…
You won’t have time to think.

If you’re on Web3, security knowledge is alpha. There's no two ways about it.
Do well to save this checklist so you don’t learn the hard way.

Most "Checklists" are just a list of fears. But in Digital Self-Defense, fear is a vulnerability scammers exploit.
I don’t just "check" links; I audit the Process Flow of the interaction. Here is my "Zero-Trust" architecture for Week 3. 🧵👇

I once got a “secure your account now” message that looked 100% real.
Logo, Branding, Urgency just accurate
I almost clicked but I paused.
that pause saves accounts.

Digital freedom Is discipline.
Audit your approvals. Separate wallets by risk. Never reuse seeds. Move slow when everyone’s rushing.

WEEK 2.
A long story and i regret it.
"I didnt think of my digital life as real life"
it was just apps, accounts, screens. Something I could always fix later. So I cut corners. Same password everywhere, No 2 factor authentication.

1/ I messed up my digital security badly several times.
Not because I was careless on purpose but because I got comfortable.
And comfort is dangerous on the internet.
This is how it happened. ⤵️
