Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev said the agreement on Russian diesel supplies paves the way for new joint projects.
Dmitriev revealed that Moscow is already discussing other areas of economic cooperation with Washington on Putin’s orders.
The official also said Russia would overcome any sanctions-related obstacles to ensure fuel deliveries to the US market.
Last Friday, October 9, Trump announced that he and Putin had reached an agreement to resume Russian diesel supplies to the US and global markets.
The deal required Trump to lift some of the US sanctions against Russia that he himself had previously imposed. The agreement sparked sharp criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European officials.

Kirill Dmitriev, Putin’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation, has publicly proposed cooperation with the "Alternative for Germany" (AfD) party regarding the resumption of Russian gas supplies. He made this statement one day before the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
According to Reuters, Dmitriev and federal AfD leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla are preparing for a meeting in 2027 to discuss restoring Russian gas supplies to Germany. The talks are intended to take place only if a framework agreement on ending the war is in place.

Resuming Nord Stream operations is also part of the AfD’s platform in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: the party demands the immediate activation of the intact Nord Stream 2 pipeline and the repair of the damaged pipelines.
These plans have drawn sharp criticism in Berlin. Green Party MP Michael Kellner described the initiative as high treason. CDU representative Roderich Kiesewetter stated that restarting Nord Stream would be a disaster for European security.
The AfD argues that a return to Russian energy supplies is necessary in the interests of German industry.
