JUSTICE FOR GIDEON In mid-January, a 3-month-old Jack Russell Terrier puppy named Gideon was allegedly placed in a bathtub filled with scalding hot water, leaving him with excruciating third-degree burns. The puppy cried in pain, needing constant medical care and even medication to help him rest. Social media accusations point fingers at two individuals: Naima Armani, alleged to have put Gideon in the scalding bath after a fight with her mother. Selena Martin, a convicted animal abuser, who allegedly had possession of Gideon for days, created a GoFundMe for him, and only turned him over to rescue much later with no real help. Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) now has Gideon and reports that other dogs remain in the original home, potentially still at risk. As of late February, Kimberly Craig WXYZ reported that the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, Michigan and Detroit Police Department are investigating but cannot release details.
