WOW: @JPMorgan & @WellsFargo testified in congress they’d #DropSFOF once presented with evidence of its anti-free market, anti-climate lobbying. They got that evidence, but are breaking that promise to stick with SFOF.

@JPMorgan & @WellsFargo told congress they’d #DropSFOF once presented with evidence of its anti-free market, anti-climate lobbying.
Now, they’re breaking that promise to stick with SFOF. Great thread 👇👇
In September, I asked the CEOs of @JPMorgan and @WellsFargo why they were sponsors of the State Financial Officers Foundation (@SFOF_States) — an organization that is driving financial risk and spreading misinformation about JPM and Wells Fargo.
THREAD 🧵1/
The guilty-of-greenwashing corporate sponsors doesn't stop w @Fidelity.
@InvescoUS, you claim that your "fundamental belief is that ESG investing is an essential part of the solution to a sustainable future". You're an SFOF silver sponsor.
Care to explain yourselves? #DropSFOF
We’re at @CeresNews Net Zero Event in NYC today, sponsored & attended by @Citi, @JPMorgan & others.
Ceres’ @DawnMMartin kicked off the morning by resolutely calling on investors, in the room & beyond, to #DropSFOF.
Keep an eye on this 🧵for what’s happening today!
🔥🔥 #DropSFOF is gaining momentum!
@FederatedHermes has dropped. Now @Chase & @WellsFargo are being charged to do the same and stop funding SFOF's anti-free market, fossil fuel protectionist lobbying.
Both CEOs agreed that upon confirmation they would #DropSFOF💥
WATCH: @RepCasten asks @Chase & @WellsFargo CEOs if they will commit to not funding SFOF, the Koch & ALEC aligned alliance organizing Republican State Financial Officers whose demands contradict the realities of climate financial risk.
CEOs say they'll look into it...
Meanwhile... @SFOF_States has removed all named sponsors from their website. But don't worry. We kept the receipts and will be tracking closely who learns from @FederatedHermes and will #DropSFOF next. 👀

The climate deniers @SFOF_States recently removed the corporate sponsors from their website after companies started facing backlash — but luckily that's not how the internet works!
Here's the snapshot before they tried to hide them. Who's gonna be next to drop out? 👀
@FixMyFunds @AM_WakeUpCall @FederatedHermes @Fidelity I mean, EVERYONE should check out the #DropSFOF hashtag and like, comment, and/or retweet every tweet there to ping another notification over to all the murderous companies sponsoring a far-right US pro-fossil lobby fighting against sensible climate laws.

MAJOR: Investment manager @FederatedHermes is pulling support of SFOF, the group organizing the anti-ESG backlash in the U.S.
But other institutions, like Fidelity, are still funding their climate-denialist campaign.
@Fidelity – when will you #DropSFOF?
