WHY DO WE NEED AN EXPANSION OF RAILS SERVICES?
Between Belfast & Ballymena is one of the highest rates of passenger congestion in Northern Ireland.
This morning, my train was completely crushed full.
This line needs dualled, it needs more services.

Not only would this ease the congestion on one of NI's busiest commuter corridors, but it would also allow for faster journey times between Belfast & Londonderry, less delays & cancellations and more stations to be opened along the line.

Phase Five:
After the entirety of #DuallingNorth is completed, it would then be possible to open a brand new railway station in #Limavady thanks to the massive increase in capcity, flexibility and reliability of the network.

The fourth phase would bring #DuallingNorth into its SECOND key stage.
Dualling the line between #Coleraine & #Londonderry, the capacity increase would then allow for the justification to construct a new railway station at #Strathfoyle.

The third phase's completion would signal the end of the FIRST of the TWO key stages to #DuallingNorth.
This phase would see the final leg of the journey dualled between #Ballymoney & #Coleraine.

The work would be split into FIVE key phases, this allows for minimal disruption whilst ensuring the work is not spread thin, meaning faster construction times.
