Q6: I've been able to build relationships with my students by having them respond to a new journal question each morning on a Google Slide. They have all shared their slides journal with me, so I can comment back and forth with students! #ECTEACHES #BlueJayReconnect

A5. I’m learning about Google Jamboard! It’s new for me but a lot of ESL teachers like using it for building language and assessing, especially because it’s embed right into Google Meet now. #ECTEACHES
A5 It's no surprise that I use Twitter a lot (even though I have not been using the hashtag when I announce all the questions! So sorry!). I also love Padlet, Jamboard, Flipgrid, and GoogleDocs. #ECTEACHES.
A5: Pear Deck is a Google add on that is great for in the moment assessment and engagement! I also use the portfolio feature on Class Dojo in different ways! I also use SeeSaw for my self-paced reading tracking/assessment. (I’m teaching face-face) #ECTEACHES
Q5: My new favorite technology tool to use when informally assessing students is @PearDeck! I also can link formative assessments like a Google Form directly into slides. #ECTEACHES #BlueJayReconnect

@Miss_Hall_SDoL I totally agree! I try to do this often too! I love the community we’ve created in these conversations! Or when a learner teaches me something new and we look more into together! I love when they’re excited about the new things they read about! #ECTEACHES
A3: I try to show this as much as I can and embrace it often! I will be honest when I forgot something or mess something up and talk about my process out loud. Once in a while I will read during our independent reading time as well. #ECTEACHES
@KCapLiteracy For English I typically just use the WIDA Can Dos as a guide with what to expect for reading. For Spanish we don’t have any official assessment although I often encourage teachers to use the DRA in Spanish which we have for some schools #ecteaches
Q3: There's NOTHING wrong with showing your students that you make mistakes and are totally okay with it! Learning is a process and it's important to show them that you're not perfect. #ECTEACHES
A2: I’m lucky to have a fantastic colleague in the ELL department! She’s pushed in to my classes and supported learners in their writing and reading! Supporting ELs and any learner is truly a team effort!! Finding those who will support is so important! #ECTEACHES
