Are essay type questions helpful? Absolutely! This promotes a deep understanding where Ss are required to justify and explain their answers. It also motivates Ss to be able to respond with flexibility. Just remember, a good essay question should be specific! #EDUC5350
High quality multiple choice questions still require Ss to use skills such as comparing, analyzing, and hypothesizing. If you're worried about a multiple a choice test not being good enough, require Ss to defend their answers by providing evidence. #EDUC5350
