#Smallerprovinces & metropolitan #Karachi is the only option left for #Pakistan to grow and flourish rapidly. It's so regrettable that even after 80 years independence of Pakistan, baboos are #bosses & #electable families are mai-baap at district level governance. No ruler ever, civilian or military dictator was able to change this reality in 80% #rural areas of the country and majority population is always dominated by the groups mentioned above. Good luck to the present leadership to go forward in their ambitious development plans.

#Electable families dominate #Local governments as well whenever there are elections. Every tehsil/ district in #Pakistan has Baboos as Bosses and Electable families as Mai-Baap, even after 78 years of independence. A century old system created by foreign rulers is in practice, easy for all concerned to act upon. Good luck to we all.

These are from the #electable families of the area. Silent majority can’t afford to talk against them. This traditional situation in #Pakistan has alway been a challenge!

When I was writing #Electable (in 2021), many people told me they feared President Biden would decide too late in the process not to run for re-election, thus freezing Harris’ ability to mount her campaign from a place of strength— financial, political, and otherwise. None of us imagined this.
