Thinking about the time my PhD advisor and the School of Rock 2017 participants waved off @TheJR during #Exp371, capturing these gorgeous views of our beloved ship as we left port to drill #Zealandia.

This afternoon @binghamtonu undergrads in the Freshman Research Immersion program presented their elemental data from @TheJR #Exp371! These 2 groups investigated productivity and terrigenous input changes in the Tasman Sea across the middle Miocene! #Bing_FRI @HarpurCollege

Beginning of my trip to New Zealand to attend the post-cruise meeting of our #IODP expedition #Exp371 to Zealandia. But first, visiting Bruce Hayward in Auckland. Thanks for great fieldwork and inspiring discussions on foraminifera! @unizar @RACiencias

@TimeScavengers Mine are planktic foraminifera, specifically Globigerinella siphonifera! This beauty is from the late Neogene of the Tasman Sea. It was recovered in a sediment core while sailing on IODP #Exp371!
