PBMs manipulate prices in their favor. 3 PBMs oversee 80% of pharmacy benefits and coverage for Americans using insurance. They are causing pharmacy closures across our nation as they have merged with insurance companies and often force to their own poorly rated mail order pharmacies and reimburse their competitors below costs. This is sadly risking the lives of Americans as many pharmacies close. It's time for legislators to start listening to the people. We can and must do better and fight to save America's pharmacy and medication access. Support the Pharmacists Fight Back Act. May 2026 finally be the year that PBMs lose their monopoly power. 🙏

Same thing happened to me when I was diagnosed with covid. Refusal to fill @walgreens @kroger @cvs they are all a JOKE!! Also, worst pharmacy benefit manager on the planet is #ExpressScripts

Paxlovid is contraindicated with the patient’s blood pressure medication - no concern to the pharmacist or to the primary care doctor who wrote the prescription.

• Did not properly handle appeals
• Paid their affiliated pharmacies more than
independent pharmacies
• Did not properly reimburse pharmacies
This is the first time a State Insurance Department has audited a PBM.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of fines or penalties for the PBM.
There needs to be accountability for PBMs when they break State laws and harm pharmacies.

*not a lawyer* but the vessel for fiduciary responsibility this suit claims is being restricted (utilizing forced mail order, closed networks, PBM owned specialty pharmacies, etc. to in theory reduce drug costs.) are directly in contradiction to the spirit of this law and arguably anti-trust violations in themselves… Cigna/ExpressScripts upset that @MNCommerce is pursuing action against them for offering plans that exclusively steer patients to pharmacies they have ownership stake in and excluding/restricting non-PBM owned pharmacies in violation of state law.
These types of predatory business tactics are decimating independent pharmacies and causing the spread of pharmacy deserts throughout the state.
Are we willing to tolerate this level of corruption in the name of potential cost savings? ERIC seems to think so, I hope MN stands up and says enough is enough!
