@DRossTeaches Someone used parking lots in elementary where students write questions on chart paper they still have after lessons. Older students could tweet those questions on the fly. Also good for shy kids who do not want to admit having questions. #FCPSDLE
Helping students craft insightful and relevant questions is tough! Socratic seminars and questioning "game-show" type games are good old school strategies! @Socrative is a powerful digital questioning tool, as is @Twitter if implemented properly. #FCPSDLE

I use ZOOM a lot with my students for HHT and tutoring. I can open documents, online textbooks, or the Internet & screen share. We can both write on the same document, and I can record video or take screenshots of their work. #fcpsdle

Module 2. I love using Ted Talks. The presenters are always so dynamic, many using visuals alongside their verbal explanations. I also use TeachersPayTeachers. The site allows me to find several different formats to explain a skill while also supporting my community. #FCPSDLE
#FCPSDLE Since I am a new teacher, I am still learning about the Common Core Standards. However, it seems that these standards are focusing one specific skill that the students need to learn. I think this helps students as well as new teachers because the focus is one thing.

@DRossTeaches I teach History of the Ancient World so the majority of the texts I use are expository. The trick is to find engaging, rigorous and relevant sources . I do view my teaching more through the the lens of literacy instruction now with the paradigm shift to the Common Core.#FCPSDLE
