Hintergrund und Ursachen: Die Fleischer-Dienst Braunschweig eG (FDBS) hat nach mehr als einem Jahrhundert Geschäftstätigkeit Insolvenz angemeldet. Das Unternehmen beliefert seit Generationen Fleischereien, Bäckereien und Gastronomen in Niedersachsen. Hauptgründe für die Insolvenz sind die starke Konsumzurückhaltung, explodierende Energie- und Materialkosten sowie ein Zahlungsausfall bei einem Geschäftspartner, der die Liquidität endgültig aufbrauchte.
Lage und Ausblick: Der vorläufige Insolvenzverwalter Tobias Hartwig zeigt sich vorsichtig optimistisch. Der Betrieb laufe weiter, die Löhne seien bis Jahresende gesichert. Mit über 15.000 Produkten und einem Umsatz von mehr als 30 Millionen Euro galt FDBS lange als stabile Größe im Lebensmittelgroßhandel – bis die aktuelle Wirtschaftslage auch diesen Traditionsbetrieb zu Fall brachte.
Wenn selbst jahrhundertealte Versorger aufgeben müssen, bricht das Rückgrat des Mittelstands endgültig.
