Today, the @MayorMKE & @cityofmilwaukee launched the Financial Empowerment Center, in partnership with the national Cities for Financial Empowerment @CFEfund & Riverworks. Professionally trained and bilingual counselors will help individuals and families manage their finances.

In 2020 the City of Tulsa partnered with Goodwill Industries of Tulsa to open our city’s first Financial Empowerment Center with the goal of providing financial counseling that would help people get out of debt and build wealth.
This week we are celebrating the work of that team in their first three years of operation. They have assisted over 700 Tulsans who have collectively increased their savings by almost $250,000 and reduced more than $800,000 in debt!
As this program has grown, we are now expanding to a second partnership with Tulsa Responds at another location.
